World's Largest Sock Eats Knitch!

Just kidding! The sock was relatively tame and not at all dangerous as our title suggests..

We had a great time at our Thursday Knit In adding a few rows to the World's Largest Sock. The sock began in England and is making its way around the world one stitch at a time in an effort to create a World Record. Every Knitter who knits on the sock records their name in the log book that will be sent to The Guiness Book of World Records.

We had a great time knitting on the sock and we thank Debra Davis from the Atlanta Knitting Guild for hosting the sock in Atlanta (we hope its a good house guest!).

Knitch Presents The Yarn Harlot!

We couldn't be more excited.....
Yes, its true, Stephanie Pearl Mcphee aka The Yarn Harlot will be joining us for her first ever Georgia visit on September 19th. If you haven't already reserved your spot click here. This is a reservation only event (sorry guys...we can only hold 600 knitters) So, join us...we are positively giddy with excitement and this promises to be a very fun day!

Here's what's in store for the day...

The event will be held at the Hilan Theater a block from the Knitch. We'll open the doors at 5PM for Georgia's largest knit-in (ever). During the knit-in there will be refreshments and yarn harlot trivia complete with knitterly prizes that you don't want to miss! Stephanie will join us at 7PM for an hour long talk and then we'll host a booksigning at Knitch. Books will be available both at the theater and at Knitch.

We're in awe of the creativity of those crazy knitters who threw panties (size large white cottonones to be exact!) at Stephanie on her recent visit to Boston and we're throwing out a challenge to all of you harlot fans to make Stephanie's visit to our fair city a memorable one...post a comment and let us know your ideas.

Until then...happy knitting from the Team at Knitch!
